1968 Omega Speedmaster 145.012-67 'Ultraman'
This watch needs no introduction. Roumoured to be made in exceptionally small numbers, the Ultraman Speedmaster is synonymous amongst enthusiasts and collectors alike.
After an appearance in the episode 8 of theJapanese TV series "Return of Ultraman' little was known about the actual watch in question. After research it was deemed that a limited number were made all between a certian serial range 26.076.xxx and 26.079.xxx in June of 1968. Over the years many have appeared and we are now over 70 watches known by people checking and following serial numbers of watches listed for sale privately, through auctions and dealers.
This specific one has had its orange hand checked and is correct and original.

Brand and Model: Omega Speedmaster Professional
Reference: 145.012-67 SP
Case: Stainless steel asymmetric
Bezel: Stainless steel with aluminium Dot Over 90 (DON90)
Bracelet: Correct 1039 bracelet with 516 end links and fold over clasp dated 2/68 making it the second quarter of 1968.
Dial: Correct dial with tritium hour markers. The dial on the Ultraman is a little darker and has a different appearance than the normal speedmasters from the same era
Hands: Correct tritium hands which show a little aging but are the original lume. Correct length orange chrono hand which has been checked.
Crown and pushers: Both are correct for this reference. A letter is included that states this from Simon Freese Watchmaking.
Crystal: Correct Omega logo crystal
Case Diameter: 42mm
Movement: Correct cal 321 movement with the serial in the exact range you would expect 26,079,xxx
Case Back: Correct 145.012-67 SP case back with a clear Hippocampus on the reverse

Condition:
Overall it's in great shape for it's age and does show a little wear consistent with age over the years. The bracelet has a couple of links that have lost their sprng tension. Serviced by Simon Freese in 2021. It somes supplied with a 12 months warranty from me.
